Happy Halloween!

Tonight we went trick or treating with Chloe! She had so much fun! She loves wearing her costume-which surprised us all, and she LOVED looking at everyone else in their costume. She didn't understand though why we weren't going inside peoples houses. Every time someone would open the door she would walk right in! She loved seeing The Rutherfords dog dressed up in a costume and we decided that The Bekavacs gave away the BEST candy by far! Below is a picture of the fullsize Starburst that she just wouldn't let go of! She had a great time though and got lots of good candy for her Mommy and Daddy! :)

Fall Fest

Tonight we took Chloe to the Early Childhood PTA Fall Fest and we had so much fun! Although Chloe really wanted to play in the bounce house we managed to steer her over to a few smaller games. She won a duck and a pumpkin and a clown made her a butterfly. Does it get better than that?! She got to see all her friends, Caleb and Caroline who were dressed up as Mickey and Minnie, Bennett and Isabella who were an octopus and Super-Man and Ella Claire who was a butterfly. It was fun to see all the kids running around in their costumes!

Nommer time!!

Nommers and cute boots! Woo-hoo!!

Okay-so in my family when its chilly outside, or getting to be bedtime or sometimes even Sunday afternoons...we call it "nommer time" pronounced "nawmer". Now Nate says this is not a real word...but alas he still uses it-nommers are your pjs. So in tribute of this chilly willy weather-I declare its NOMMER TIME at my house!

Oaktoberfest

Saturday night we went Oaktoberfest in Coppell. Nates parents were in town so they came along! Chloe got to ride the train, see her friends and meet a clown who made her a flower baloon. Surprisingly she wasnt near as scared of the clown as I thought she would be! It was great to spend time with Nates parents and for Chloe to get to play with them! We love you guys!

one crazy day

Chloe hanging out in her stroller at the pumpkin patch

My day started at 8 when my good friend Jenny called to say she was on her way to the hospital to have her baby girl. Yea! So I was in charge of her 3 year old son Matthew, who goes to Stringfellow School on Tuesdays-today was field trip day to the pumpkin patch. So I was a mother of two for the day! Chloe was a good tropper as was Matthew! Luckily Mary's daughter Kathryn is in the same class as Matthew so I had a friend there who knew what to do on the field trip. I have to say-its a bit different going as a chaperone rather than the teacher! It was a fun and exciting day and Jenny had her baby this afternoon! Welcome to the world sweet Molly! You have a big brother waiting at home with a pumpkin! :)

Homecoming Parade

So last night we took Chloe to the Coppell Homecoming Parade. She was so good! She just sat in my lap and watched all the floats go by! Apparently everyone thinks that babies eat candy because they would walk over to us and put handfuls in her lap! Nate wasn't going to tell them otherwise and kept taking it and eating it himself! Chloe was really confused towards the end of the parade when she saw Mimi walking in it! Moms school had a float so she walked with it and Chloe had a rather bewildered look when Mimi came out of the parade to say hello to her! Afterwards we headed to Chilis where Chloe continued to entertain us at dinner with Bob and Cheryl, Mom and Sheri and Jonah. Dad-you really missed out! Get back from Hotlanta soon! :)

Waiting patiently for the parade to start

Here it comes!

Playtime!

Today we met The Taylors and The Bales at the mall for lunch and playtime at the play area. Chloe had an extremely healthy lunch, french fries and chicken nuggets...yum! Caleb and Caroline shared their fig newtons and so she got to try those for the first time...big fan! Caleb LOVED driving the ambulance and the girls got to ride along. At one point Caleb and Caroline were driving and Chloe was riding in the back of the ambulance! Watch out! :) Caroline and Chloe had fun trying to crawl up the mountain and then they'd slide back down into one another! They had so much fun and it was awesome that Katherine and I didn't have to help them with anything...we could actually have a conversation! Yea for mommy time! :)

sweet chloe is one!

This weekend was Chloe's birthday! Her party was sooo much fun! She loved all of her new presents and enjoyed eating her cake! Her real birthday was Monday and Nate took off work to play with us! We went to the Edie Coker concert at the arboreteum for a picnic and looked at all the pumpkins. Her favorite part by far was the petting zoo. She tried using the sheep for a pillow and tapped all the goats on the head, calling them dogs. It was super hot...but super fun! We can't believe she is already one...and that her birthday has come and gone, but I just have to keep reminding myself that it'll just keep getting better! You can see more pictures of round top, her birthday party and the arboreteum on our phanfare site here!

Junkin in the fields and Dancin under the stars...

Ready for Round Top! Yee-haw!

Checking out EVERYTHING at the Junk Gypsy tent!!!

I'm back from Round Top! Yea! We had so much fun! We took Chloe with us on Wednesday and Nates mom Julie met us there to take her home with her to Houston! Chloe loved getting to see all her friends, Amie, Janie and Jolie, plus sweet Nancy! It was a hot day but Chloe had fun! She got a new Baylor cheerleading outfit and a cute Halloween bow from Spice in Waco. Wednesday night we went out to eat and sat out on the patio with drinks and turned in fairly early to get up in the morning! On Thursday we hit Warrenton and Marburger where I finally purchased my first piece of Magnolia Pearl from our sweet friend Robin. I've lusted over her beautiful one of a kind clothing, bags and furniture for years and was excited to finally splurge on a cute cropped jacket! We spent forever trying on each one because every one is handmade and different-they take 3 months to make! Here is a picture of me, Robin and John in my new splurge at prom.

So after Marburger we hit the square in Round Top, Clutter and the rest of Warrenton. Then stopped at Zapp Hall for a YUMMY dinner under the Royers tent. Then it was off to Junk Gypsy Prom to dance the night away and people watch! The band was great and Chloe's future husband Cash Baker was there! Here are some pics...

Finally on Friday it was time to head home. We were all out of money and were ready to get back and see sweet Chloe! BUT, I'm already dreamin of the scavengers, gypsies and cowboys that I'll see come Round Top Spring! What more could a girl and her cowboy boots need?!

Her birthday is a week away?

Chloe turns one a week from today....is that possible? I swear a year couldn't have already passed. I know I remember the first day we took her home from the hospital, having a hard time believing we could be this blessed. I know it was just yesterday that she smiled her first smile, or took or first steps, or giggled at something funny. I know it was just yesterday...or was it? Apparently it was almost a year ago that the most wonderful thing in the world happend to us. Its amazing to me how long some of the days can be, but how quickly a year can pass. So, my birthday wish for Chloe is really for me today, that I will treasure each momment, each tantrum, each wiped tear, and each uncontrolable giggle and that I will make sure that no matter what, Chloe always feels loved and that somehow she will remember and know these momments that I will never forget.
